Minecraft Live 2022, the biggest Minecraft-focused showcase of the year, officially went live yesterday, revealing more about the upcoming content to the game in the future, and of course, announcing the winner of Mob Vote 2022.
According to Mojang, Sniffer won the latest Mob Vote contest by earning over half of the votes, which was a dominant victory over Tuff Golem and Rascal, the other nominees of the year. With this victory, Sniffer will now be added to the game as a new ancient creature, whose survival depends on players as they need to find Sniffer’s eggs. According to the official description, there are seeds in Minecraft’s universe that only Sniffer can find. You can help Sniffer to continue its life in Overworld by either hatching its eggs or through breeding.
Mob Vote result wasn’t the only thing that we witnessed during the Minecraft Live 2022 showcase. The developers officially revealed some significant features coming with update 1.20, including Camel Mob, hanging signs, chiseled bookshelves, and crafting with bamboo. More details about the update will be shared when it is ready to launch.
Moreover, Mojang revealed a live gameplay demo from its upcoming Minecraft Legends, which was officially unveiled earlier this year during Microsoft’s Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase in June. The demo showed off multiple locations in Minecraft Legends and revealed more about the co-op gameplay system in the game.
On the other hand, Mojang also revealed new upcoming content for its previous Minecraft spin-off, Dungeons. A sneak peek at Season 3: Fauna Faire in Minecraft Dungeons as well as the new multiplayer mode were the main focuses of the panel. You can expect more free content to arrive in Minecraft Dungeons on October 19, 2022.
Going to the classic Minecraft, Mojang revealed some new default skins that will be joining Alex and Steve to diversify the player choice when starting a new adventure in the rich world of Minecraft. The new default skins include Sunny, Kai, Makena, Zuri, Efe, Ari, and Noor. These new skins will be available this year on November 29.
Last but not least, you can expect two new DLCs coming to Minecraft Marketplace on October 18, including a new Batman DLC.
