Minecraft Mod Adds a Paintbrush to Paint Blocks New Colors

A new Minecraft mod has been released, which adds new colors to the game and gives players the ability to apply it using a paintbrush. There are so many unique ways to play in Minecraft’s open world that it’s not surprising it’s still going strong after all these years. The fan community is awash with many talented individuals and even whole teams dedicated to showcasing some impressive structures and contraptions. The studio itself is also continuing to show its IP some love.

GAMERANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

With Minecraft version 1.20 due out in 2023, the game is frequently being updated with new content and ideas. For many fans, the blocky world is something they grew up playing, with its origins going back to 2011, or even 2009 for those who count the alpha release. It’s hard to imagine that the game started with such humble beginnings, and while the fan base alone is helping to keep Minecraft in the gaming limelight by demonstrating their building skills, there’s also an equally committed modding community that’s adding even more to the game.

Take user itayfeder on Curse Forge as an example. As spotted by PCGamesN, the modder has released an add-on for Minecraft called “Tinted” that not only adds eight new colors, but also implements a paintbrush tool that allows players to color items without having to “enter a crafting table.” The new shades include coral, beige, olive, turquoise, amber, bubblegum, bordeaux, and ender. It’s also compatible with a number of other mods, including “Quark” and “Waystones.” The creator has also said they may implement additional colors in the future if there is enough demand for them. The file is available to download from Curse Forge, linked below.

With all these colors, as well as the vanilla game alone offering such endless creativity, Minecraft really is a game for those who want to unleash their inner Bob Ross. There is endless potential for constructing a near-infinite number of things. The fact that it all takes place in a visually distinctive, but above all colorful, world is what makes the game so attractive in the first place, appealing to players of all ages.

In fact, Minecraft is so popular that it is one of the highest selling games of 2022 and is one of the most successful IPs in the industry. With all that the title affords, it’s not hard to see why. For a lot of fans, the prospect of a world without Minecraft is perhaps not something they’d want to consider. But with Mojang still releasing updates, the game is showing signs of a continually prosperous future.

Minecraft is available on Mobile, PC, PS3, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
