How To Tame A Fox In Minecraft
Step 1: Gather the items needed to tame a fox. You will need a fair amount of ‘Cobblestone’, ‘Wood’ or other building materials. You will need to ensure you have many ‘Berries’, at least 1 ‘Lead’ and also a ‘Nametag’.
Step 2: Find a pair of foxes. Foxes can be found in the Taiga biome. In case you don’t know which biome this is, it’s the one with tall green, mostly Spruce trees.
Step 3: Sneak up on a fox. You will need to approach a fox while crouching. If you walk or run towards one, they will run away.
Step 4: Once you are close enough to the foxes, keep crouching and slowly build a wall around the fox and the nearby second fox using your ‘Cobblestone’, ‘Wood’ or other building materials so they can’t escape.
Step 5: Feed both of the foxes some ‘berries’. If they are close enough together, love hearts should appear above the foxes. This means they will breed. A baby fox will appear soon.
Step 6: Wait for a baby fox to appear.
Step 7: The baby fox will become your tamed fox and will be your pet. The others you can set free.
Step 8: Feed the baby fox berries until it grows into an adult. This may take a while.
Step 9: Get an Anvil and use put the nametag on it. Choose a name for your fox. Then put the nametag on the now-grown-up, baby fox.
Step 10: Put the ‘leash’ and the ‘Nametag’ on the tamed baby fox once it grows up. This is now your fox!
That’s all there is to it! Now you have your own fox to play with as a pet in Minecraft. It will follow you around and be your friend.
