Abhishek Bensla, who is popularly known by his stage name MC Square got a grand welcome at his hometown Faridabad, Haryana after winning the second season of India’s first-ever rap/hip-hop reality show MTV Hustle.
“Sabko meri taraf se Ram Ram,” the singer/rapper whose song Ram Ram is quite popular said as he addressed the rally of fans who had gathered to welcome him. “Mere liye ye ek Sapne jaisa hai… maine socha tha ki mai achcha karunga. Lekin itna achcha karunga ye maine nahi socha tha… Uske liye sabko shukriya,” he added.

MC Square who has made thousands of fans across the nation including Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma was welcomed in his village with huge pomp and show. So many people had gathered to celebrate his win that it causes traffic jam. Take a look!

Badmos Chora singer MC Square hails from Bhawana, Palwal in Haryana. He got his inspiration from his hometown’s folk song Ragini and started his journey in rapping in 2016.
Talking about his journey, he told IANS, “I started rapping 5-6 years ago and it was all random. I used to write poetry, gazals. My friend Himanshu Bhatt introduced me to HUSTLE 2.0, but I was not sure because I thought all these reality shows were scripted, but then I got a call from the crew of ‘Hustle’ for Delhi auditions and so here I am”.
The story behind his stage name MC Square
“Since childhood, I’ve always been interested in reading science books, and there’s an equation by Einstein, E=mc2, which means energy equals mass times the speed of light squared. The Hip-hop game is like energy to me and that’s how I found my stage name,” he said.

Do you MC Square is a farmer’s son?
“Coming from a farming background it was a little tough for me as in our area they don’t even know what is hip hop or rap. Plus I come from a family where even talking about hip-hop and all is not considered decent and it took me a lot of time to convince my family regarding my rapping career,” he was quoted as saying.
We are sure his family is now proud of him.
